"CUSTOM" DRAFT Horse Saddles and Options
You Can Have Us Send You A Saddle Tree......
We are the only company that offers to send you a saddle tree to insure a good fit for your horse or mule.
We do not use "coat hanger" or paper drawing template measurements because they are usually inaccurate and unreliable. A "coat hanger" measurement measures only a small portion of your horse's entire back. We need to see gullet width fit, the bar fit from front to back and if the saddle will sit on your horse's spine.
Here's How Our Saddle Tree Fitting Program WorksBefore building your saddle, you have an option of having us send the tree that we feel would be the best fit for your horse to you. We will need your horse's breed, height and weight and a couple of pictures of his back showing a side view and a view looking down at the withers/shoulder area.
In order for us to send you a tree, we ask for a $125.00 deposit plus a $32.00 shipping and insurance fee. When the tree is returned to us, we will credit your accout with the $125.00 towards the saddle we will build for you. If you do not purchase from us, we will refund the $125.00 to you in full.
Most of our saddles will fit your draft horse or large horse just fine because of the angled bar trees which are designed for comfort and fit for these larger horses. However, if you feel that your horse may have conformation qualities that would require us to consider before building a saddle for you, I would advise that you have us send you a tree.
We do not allow returns on custom-built saddles, so it is important to find the correct tree fit. We send you instructions on how to fit the tree and ask for three digital photos. These photos will show us:
l) The distance from the underside of the tree gullet to the top of the horse's withers.
2) How the bars fit the sides - do they poke your horse's ribs, flair out or lay flat?
3) Can you see daylight from the back of the tree through to the front? We need to keep the weight OFF the horse's spine.
Polymer Trees are made of plastic that is squirted into a mold and formed in one piece. This makes the tree stronger in that it doesn't have the 4 stress points that the wooden tree inherently must have. Also the polymer tree is totally water resistant and would last forever

If a saddle is shown with a Polymer tree - you can UPGRADE to a Wood tree for additional $105.00.
If a saddle is shown with a Polymer tree - you can UPGRADE to a Flex tree for additional $75.00.
If a saddle is shown with a Wood tree - you can change to a Flex tree for additional $35.00.
If a saddle is shown with a Polymer tree - you can UPGRADE to a Mule Flex tree for $75.00.
