Western Cowboy Equitation Chaps
Beautiful, soft western chaps (pronounced shaps). These are actually leather leggings worn as protection against the weather, rocks, brush and harsh weather conditions, but also worn in the show rings as equitation style chaps.
There are other styles of chaps also. The "Shotgun" style chap is a tight-legged chap and many motorcycle riders prefer this style.
The "Chinks" are a short chap that ends just below the knee.
And of course there is the Angora Chap "Woolies" which is covered with long Angora goat hair. These chaps really do a great job keeping your legs warm in the most severe areas of the country.
Please Note: These brown colored chaps shown here in the picture on the right are a tad bit darker than they actually are.
Chaps are worn BELOW the waist of jeans or pants. They actually hang off the hips.
