Stainless Steel Egg Butt Full Cheek snaffle bit with copper twist mouth and French Link !

This is a very fine, first quality stainless steel bit.

These snaffle bits provide a traditional hunter look and feature full cheeks that help prevent the bit from pulling through the mouth. To fit this bit for your horse's mouth, make sure the horse's lips have no pressure on the cheeks. They should just brush up against the cheekpiece on the bit. It should be snug enough though so that the bit doesn't slide back and forth across the mouth when pressure is applied to change direction.

Full Cheek Snaffle Bits work on the bars of the mouth, the corners of the mouth and the tongue. They also can work on the poll when bit loops are used with a bridle.

How To Measure Your Horse's/Mule's Mouth For Bit Size:
Get a friend to help you do this...take a piece of string and pull it straight across the inside of the horse's mouth where the intended bit will lay. Use a marking pen to make a mark on each side where is comes out of his mouth. Measure between the two marks and add 1/2" to your measurement. This will allow 1/4" clearance on each side of his mouth for a comfortable bit.
