There are some styles of guns that just won't fit this holster. Like certain Ruger styles! This is a typical western style gun holster. Leather stretches and if they make it too loose to start with, the gun would fall out of the holster after initial uses, so it is made for a tight fit to start with. Many customers wrap the gun in wax paper used for baking purposes and leave it tucked in for approximately 24 hours. They take the gun out, remove the wax paper and then do 25-30 test draws. This creates burnish spots on the interior of the holster where the gun comes into contact with the leather. Leather will soften as well as the contact points will slicken up more as the gun is drawn/placed into the holster.
